Customers can rest assured their servers are running optimally when CyberLynk’s
Network Monitoring Service is in place. Current CyberLynk customers have
the satisfaction of knowing that every point on CyberLynk’s Network
is monitored to ensure the highest uptime and reliability. CyberLynk has
several service plans to fulfill any company's requirements:
Basic Monitoring:
Ping Server (1 Port)
Cost: No Charge: This monitoring is available to ALL our dedicated
and colocated hosting customers.
NOTE: This option is available to companies outside CyberLynk’s
Network. The cost for this service is $10.00/month per port with a $25
one-time setup fee.
Business Monitoring:
Monitoring of five ports (in addition to Ping Server). CyberLynk monitors
HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SMTP and POP. The HTTP and HTTPS ports are monitored
once per minute while the other ports are monitored every 5 minutes.
Our engineers will alert you and the CyberLynk NOC of possible system
downtime.
Unlike other companies, CyberLynk’s test of the HTTP port will
actually retrieve a web page to ensure that the applications behind
the HTTP request (ASP, Cold Fusion, PHP, Perl, etc.) are operating correctly.
If any test fails, a second test is immediately attempted and if that
test fails, you will be contacted via email and our NOC center will
be alerted as well.
Depending upon the actions you wish the NOC to take, they will attempt
to repair the problem. This repair process usually entails stopping/starting
services and daemons and if that fails, rebooting the server. Each customer
can detail the recovery steps to be taken by our NOC personnel.
Cost: $50/month $75 setup
Enterprise Monitoring:
Monitoring of Ping Server and five ports -- HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS,
SMTP and POP -- With Autofix
Cost: $75/month $100 setup
Courses of Action
In addition to port monitoring, we will also take the following actions
dependent upon what fails:
- Reboot the server
- Start/Stop a service
